Chery Automobile Invests in Autonomous-Driving Chip Company

Chery Automobile has taken a strategic step to strengthen its technological foundation by acquiring a stake in Xin Xin Hang Tu (Suzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. (新芯航途(苏州)科技有限公司), an automotive-grade chip startup founded in 2023. This equity investment, which increased the startup's registered capital to RMB 18.7169 million, signals Chery's intent to secure greater control over the critical semiconductor supply chain for future intelligent vehicles, particularly in the competitive arena of autonomous driving computing.

He Xiaopeng: Automotive-standard ET1 Version Robot Rolls Out

Meanwhile, XPeng Motors is leveraging its automotive expertise in a new domain. Chairman He Xiaopeng announced the successful development of the first ET1 prototype robot, engineered to automotive-grade standards. This milestone marks a crucial step toward the company's goal of achieving mass production of "high-level humanoid robots" within the year, showcasing the spillover of EV manufacturing prowess into advanced robotics.

XPeng's X9 EREV User Profile: Nearly 60% are Post-90s Generation

Demographic data from XPeng's latest model underscores a significant market shift. User profile analysis for the XPeng X9 extended-range electric MPV reveals a distinctly young buyer base. Remarkably, 57.2% of owners were born in the 1990s, with an additional 13.7% from the post-00 generation. With first-time buyers accounting for 21% of purchases—nearly double the industry average—the X9 is redefining the traditionally conservative MPV segment by appealing to a demographic a full decade younger than the segment's norm.
